New member of the team! :)

Prietena mea Teona are un baietel mic mic mic si dragutel de numa! Il cheama Andrei si are deja 3 luni.

Land Over!

A British car in production since 1978 famous for its permanent 4 wheel drive and on a global scale comes second to Jeep.
The Land Rover isn't just another car but the embodiment of britishness. The paramedics use it, the military uses it, the police uses it and of course, her Majesty the Queen uses it.
We've seen movies, TV shows, News broadcasts and documentaries showing this car at the very peaks of the world on snow, mud and sand.
To me it's the best car you can have and I am not speaking from the brand point of view but from what I've seen in this past year of being a proud Land Rover owner. This car can go where other cars can't. It's there for you when the road stops being there at all, and it's there for you when nature becomes hostile.
I couldn't agree more with the Top Gear crew when they say that a Land Rover off road car can never compare to an SUV. "The great thing about a Land Rover is that it will go off road. (...) When you get stuck you pull a leaver and there's a 'gu dung' noise and a big bit of metal moves, and then you keep going. But then in this thing, in all those stupid SUV's there all ridiculous. You push a button and a light comes on.What good is that?!" Jeremy Clarkson :)
Although the Top Gear presenters never say it in these words, they are so proud to be the country that produces Land Rover and they never miss a change to prove that it is better than SUV's like BMW X3 of X6. Richard Hammond made a film about Land Rover portraying it as not only the greatest car in the world, but as a genuine national symbol.
And it is an emblematic car for the UK as I said, you see it an just about all public services and in all rescue missions.
According to pistonheads.com Her Majesty's Land Rover comes equipped with a "A great big fiery V8". It's a Land Rover Defender and apparently the Queen has a habit of driving Land Rovers, but not the new SUV-ish kind with fine curves and elegant interior, but the "the grumbling, rumbling" Defender with the big wheels, rough exterior and (would you have guessed?) manual drive. "The Queen, a petrolhead who likes her V8s raw and her drive involving? Who knew."
To me having a Land Rover was reaching a new frontier. Both literally and metaphorically. It bettered me as a driver in ways I never thought existed. I don't have a V8 Defender like Her Majesty :) my little Rovy is a two door, 1.8 Petrol Freelander. It's small and cute but packs a mean drive. It's very special to me because it's the first thing me and my bf bought together and it forced me to reinvent myself. It made me a 4x4 freak and a petrol head (here I have to say that before I was 100% for diesel, and that changed completely). It also made me feel even closer to England, if that was even possible taking into consideration my education, my studies and my work:) Any closer now would be to actually live there :) This is a car that will not only get you where you need to go, wherever that is, but that makes you want to explore it and believe it or not, it always surprises you.
Here are some pictures with our little Rovy and some pictures with some hardcore military Land Rovers. Safety and reliability on 4 wheels :)

My favorite pic... with the Land rover and the UK earrings :)
